Contemporary Quilt is a special interest group of The Quilter's Guild of the British Isles. All members of The Guild are welcome to join this group.
We are a diverse group of quilters and fabric artists working at the cutting edge of quilt making. We like to work in textiles to create innovative and dynamic art. Many of our members have exhibited work nationally and internationally. However we also encourage newer quilters to extend and develop their work.
We set group challenges which are open to all members: work is selected for exhibition so that our varied work styles can be taken to a wider audience. Since 2007 we have had the opportunity to make journal quilts to develop new styles of working, record memories and express our feelings.
If you are interested in developing your own creative abilities or are interested in contemporary quilts and would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Membership of the Contemporary Quilt special interest group is open to all members of The Quilters' Guild of the British Isles. To join either Contemporary Quilt or The Quilters' Guild click here or go to www.quiltersguild.org.uk/membership
