2020 and 2021 have seen the spread of Coronavirus and its many variants worldwide. Scientists everywhere have been working on vaccines to protect us, and are doing brilliant work with great success, but there are many thousands of viruses and bacteria as yet uncharted, threatening our future. We owe these scientists and health workers so much, for their tireless work keeping us safe. Please know we are so grateful.
Hand dyed fabrics, and faux felt, made by laying silk and wool tops onto cotton fabric, covering them with cold water soluble film, stitching over the sandwich, finally washing away the soluble film. 3D paint and reverse appliqué, burnt felt, machine embroidery, raw edge appliqué, beading and lots of hand embroidery. Machine quilted and also quilted with hundreds of French knots. The reverse is hand dyed then block printed.
