Leaves Come Tumbling Down
My first thoughts for this quilt were in early November when our garden was thickly covered with golden leaves. The oaks were still green and as yet unconscious of the onset of winter. There is a fine line, a single moment, when a leaf breaks form the tree and makes its dying fall.
Fold resist indigo dyed background; sun printed leaves (cyanotype); some stencilling; blanket stitch appliqué; domette interfacing; herringbone stitch quilting; final edge blanket stitched. Back |
