This tiny piece was inspired by a holiday on the beautiful island of Corsica. There were seed heads everywhere. Pieced and free-machine quilted using dyed fabrics. Cut into panels, and then machine and hand embroidered with added embellishments.

Judith Dursley - Dandelions Dance Too!
Although considered weeds, dandelions have their own floral dance and are beautiful too (just not in my garden). Hand stitched bias edges to flowers, colonial knot wisteria, embroidered dandelions. Machine constructed and quilted.

Cotton and silk fabric, cotton thread, wadding, Bondaweb, oil paint sticks. Rubbed with oil paint sticks, pieced, fused. Hand quilted.

The design was inspired by an old Indian woolen cloth, embroidered with various designs including Paisley shapes.
Main lines machine quilted, circles hand quilted. Metallic colour, Stewart Gill paints, small areas coloured with Inktense pencils.
