This tiny piece was inspired by a holiday on the beautiful island of Corsica. There were seed heads everywhere.
Pieced and free-machine quilted using dyed fabrics. Cut into panels, and then machine and hand embroidered with added embellishments. |

Although considered weeds, dandelions have their own floral dance and are beautiful too (just not in my garden).
Hand stitched bias edges to flowers, colonial knot wisteria, embroidered dandelions. Machine constructed and quilted. |

Main lines machine quilted, circles hand quilted. Metallic colour, Stewart Gill paints, small areas coloured with Inktense pencils. |
