Connections

My design inspiration was taken from the origins of fingerprinting and DNA profiling and the breakthrough they made in the fight against crime.

I painted a detail of a DNA fingerprint freehand on silk, machine quilted.  More silk was pleated and painted before being torn into strips and hand appliqued.
