Chesil
The inspiration for this quilt is the Chesil Bank, which was thrown up in a single night during a great storm over 100 years ago. it broke through the coastline and created an inner lagoon. Part of the Jurassic Coast, it is one of my favourite places in all weathers.
Techniques employed were mono printing the background fabric. Random sized strips and pieces layered over, then fused with painted Bondaweb to create textured surface. Finished with machine free motion stitching. Back |
