Come Together

Influenced by songs and poetry (in particular Josh Ritter’s Thin Blue Flame) warning about how our earth is being sacrificed to war and destruction. 

The quilt is split into two sections.  One of glowing warmth and the other cold and sterile.  The light and heat from the warmth flow upwards to bring healing and rebirth.
 
The thin blue line is a vision.  It depicts spiritual healing as a force between living beings and nature.

 

Hand quilted and embroidered.  Different waddings used on the surface and as background.
