TWO FOR JOY
Inspiration
Inspired by mixed media sketches I made of buildings in my home town, this shows a fragmentary image of two merchants houses built in the late Tudor era. These black and white timbered buildings, typical of Cheshire, were known as magpie buildings for obvious reasons, so I took the saying ‘One for Sorrow, Two for Joy’ to inspire my title as it seemed appropriate.
