A Force Against Chaos

Working from a definition of the term ‘The Thin Blue Line’ I have sought to illustrate how a ‘thin blue line of police officers is all that prevents civilized society from descending into chaos'.
 
“I have used calico as a whole cloth to represent the unity of civilised society.  The quilted grid represents the need for structure within a society and the subsequent division of society into smaller sections where chaos is never far from the surface!

 
Materials include duck tape, cotton fabric and nylon ribbon using techniques of appliqué, photo-transfer, free-motion quilting, stencilling and screen-printing.
