Highland Mist
The Scottish Highlands evoke many memories of colour: the blue of the sky and lochs; the purple of heather; white sheep on grey hills; green forests and bracken and lichen covered rocks. But the mist obscures this when it falls over the landscape. In this piece the ‘Thin Blue Line’ is the line of the horizon.
Fabrics: three layers of cotton and hand-dyed silk organza, machine and hand embroidered and quilted and stuffed. Piped edges. Back |
