LUNAR FRAGMENTS
Inspiration
Last summer I entered a small piece of embroidered textile entitled 'Lunar' into an exhibition at Snape Maltings in Suffolk.
I used my photograph of 'Lunar' as my inspiration for this challenge. I printed it out, cut it up and played with the pieces until I came up with a fractured moon.
Materials and techniques
Row by row, flip and sew strip patchwork using freezer paper.
Random machine quilting.
Cotton batik fabrics with space dyed threads.
