Shards
Once I was a potter making ‘raku’ ware, smoke fired metallic glazes and slips. Sudden changes in temperature during cooling caused fascinating tiny fissures in glazes and slips and sometimes unintended real fissures which cracked the pot apart. These shards were still beautiful.
Purchased screen-printed silk, Vilene, linen, silk noil. Raw edge appliqué, free machine embroidery and machine quilting. Back |
