SHADOW LANDS
Inspiration
Did we miss the signs?
Out of the blue
a huge crack split life in two:
then and now,
the time before and the time after,
past, present but what of the future?
Slowly, ever so slowly,
ever changing.
Never to be the same again.
Once solid ground crumbled away,
falling,
falling,
gathering speed,
until the whole came crashing down.
Chaos,
confusion.
A roaring in my head.
Everything had changed,
nothing had changed.
But then,
through the silence,
a bird started to sing and the sun was in the sky.
A new day had begun.
